Palin Thrives at Convention Under Pressure of Vicious Attacks
Liberal Attacks and Smears Came.
America Saw.
Paulin Conquered.
On a night in which it seemed like both sides of the political spectrum were holding their breathes, (the left hoping for another chance the smear Palin, the right hoping she would show the brilliance that made her the highest approved Governor in the United States) Sarah Palin rose like the Phoenix from the ashes to put the Obama camp on the retreat and victory in November close in hand for McCain.
Google reported the highest number of search engine hits for any political figure in one day for Sarah Palin, major media networks had countdown clocks until her speech, and former Governors Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and the Hon. Rudy Giuliani set the expectations high in prelude and Palin not only did not disappoint, she impressed.
Her brilliant speech in light of the recent libel filled and slanderous attacks from the left was phenomenal, at one point stating she realized she wasn't winning any friends with the liberal media and Washington pundits, but that wasn't why she was there - she was there to serve the American people.
Palin has been under incredible pressure due to the attacks on her family by such irreputable sources as the Huffington Post and the DailyKos, which were relied upon heavily by the mainstream media for their sources of information. By most accounts, according to the Huffington Post, they expected Palin to crumble like a "good housewife's cookie" and step-down as the VP nominee. After her speech Wednesday night, the Huffington Post might need a glass of spilt milk to wash that cookie down their slimy throats.
Further, the attacks have backfired on the left, as a recent poll featured on Yahoo shows that the majority of the respondents felt the media was attacking Palin unjustifiably and many also felt the attacks made them more likly to vote for Palin.
Its hard to imagine having such a ticket who can handle the immense pressure that the Presidency holds, McCain overcoming the torturous experience of being a POW and Palin defying the fringe left's character assassination attempts.
Contrast this with the Obama-Biden ticket, in which neither has faced much if any adversity during their campaign and careers, and it is becoming more and more clear that McCain and Palin are the superior choice given the current state of affairs in the country.
The Obama campaign is reeling now, with staffers admitting to Fox News today their two worst fears came true last night as Palin unified and electrified the Republican party behind the McCain ticket, and she proved her abilities and her courage under fire.
Tonight, after Palin opened the door, McCain has an opportunity to close it on the Obama ticket and set his ticket up for a victory in November.
...and that's the way the left's cookie crumbles.

Napalm in the Morning: What Will Save This Country?

Looking into the future, I can very easily see this being the last six months of capitalism in the history of the United States of America. A very short time ago, I believed that their was only a small percentage of the population who truly were so far left wing that they outright cried for the country to turn pink, if not bright red. However, I have received a great awakening, and have realized how powerful the movement has become.
Why these people believe socialism and communism will work here, when it has failed so

But, this post is not meant to enlighten those to the wonders of a repeatedly failed government system. This post is to shine a spotlight on what we can do to fix our current one.
First and foremost: Term-Limits. When the congress of the United States was founded, it was

Murtha and others like him get so far entrenched and ingrained that they become impossible to remove. They build up massive war chests in the range of $20 to $50 million dollars and taunt anyone to try to run against them. This prevents better candidates and better Representatives of the people from ever getting a chance to compete. Hell, Murtha at this point could cede Pennsylvania from the Union and no-one could do much about it.
I remember bringing this up with PA State Senator John Wozniak (D) who was vehemently

The next point solution is this: The Line-Item Veto:
Here's what ends up happening: The Republicans come up with a bill to help fund the military with equipment and pay. The Democrats, as it passes through the house and senate, tag one non-related spending bill onto it after another, making it nothing close to what the original bill was.
So, there are a couple of options, the Republicans in Senate or President Bush in the White House, can veto the entire bill, and be branded anti-military by the Democrats and liberal media, or they can pass the bill, which passes funding for gay and lesbian rights, welfare, pork projects and a million other fringe agendas.
What ends up happening? Nothing. The Republicans know they can't allow the spending to run

This is just one example but the whole process has become a bastardized political tool which accomplishes nothing to help the people.
Their is no reason for people to go to DC for years on end. Our representatives should be statesmen and women, no career politicians. It does us no good to have a representative or senator become so far detached from the American public that their only interaction comes from poll numbers.
The solution for change is not to vote for a radical liberal and hope for the best. The solution is to help ensure that those in office do their elected job for their constituents.

Sarah Palin - Reformist, Conservative, Hockey Mom
I felt to myself though today, for the first time in this election, that McCain not only can win this election, but he will win it.
I'll leave you with this. I and many others I have spoken to, are rejuvinated, and electrified by the McCain selection of Sarah Palin.
The attacks from the left have already come fast and furious. I know they will only get worse. This woman is probably the best statesman of the four on their respective parties ticket, yet they will find a way to try to ensure that only Obama can, will and be the "real man of the people." This is probably a good sign though. If they weren't worried about her, they wouldn't waste their time on even addressing her. Right now I think they are checking their underware and still trying to figure out how to get the Athens from Obamaopolis.
I tell you though, as much as I am bracing for the barrage of mud and dirt thats going to be slung from the left, knowing that Palin is a hockey mom puts my mind at ease that she will be able to handle it. I know first hand how tough hockey mom's are...
Also, be on the lookout for an upcoming article I am working on dealing with moveon.org's unauthorized spamming of government and military email addresses, and the insulting responses they have given to soldiers who have tried to unsubscribe from their mailing lists.

Draft Sarah Palin!
By Justin Quinn, About.com Guide to US Conservative Politics
OK, I'll admit it. I'm a convert.
Three weeks ago, I had no idea who Sarah Palin was or what she was about.
Then, I started researching running-mate possibilities for presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, and noticed a grassroots effort to get the Alaska governor on the ballot. Her name seemed to be everywhere, and I started to wonder if it was a horrible trick, dreamed up by some lovestruck, basement-dwelling teenager with raging hormones and a vivid imagination.
The more I learned, the more I was amazed by this spitfire from the tundra. I checked with a friend who works on The Hill in DC, and sure enough, she was everything the Internet machine said she was and then some. My friend called Palin the GOP's "secret weapon," and said she's got the presence, the substance and the panache to change the election for McCain ... if only he'd consider her.
"Look her up," my friend told me. "You won't believe it. Call me when you do."So, two weeks ago, I called her office and spoke with her press secretary, Sharon Leighow, who downplayed the "Draft Sarah Palin" campaign, saying the good governor has a "full plate" right now and, although she is flattered and humbled by all the attention, "Sen. McCain's campaign has not contacted our office."
As deflating as this news would appear to be to the Palinites of the world (and, indeed, she does seem to have a global appeal), I later discovered that one of the bigger items on her plate was the recent birth of her son Trig, who was diagnosed with Down's Syndrome. The newborn is Todd and Sarah Palin's fifth child. Their oldest, Track Palin, recently enlisted in the military.
The Palin family released this statement the morning after Trig Paxson's birth:
“Trig is beautiful and already adored by us. We knew through early testing he would face special challenges, and we feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.”Three days later, Gov. Palin was back at work.
None of this information -- apparently -- is new, but it sure was new to me. Ever since McCain had sewn up the nomination, I had wondered who he would pick as his running-mate. To say I was less-than-thrilled with the field is an understatement. Out of all of the candidates on the slate, I liked the one person who was least likely to get the job: Texas Congressman (and former Libertarian) Ron Paul.
With apologies to Congressman Paul (for whom I still bear a very deep admiration), I have changed my mind -- for all the right reasons:
- Palin showed a commitment to her pro-life conservative principles by not bowing to the pressure to abort her mentally-challenged child. Rarely are one's convictions borne out by real-life circumstances, but Palin showed she's willing to live her beliefs.
- With a son in the military, Palin will be keenly aware of how her military decisions or the decisions she influences as vice-president will affect the men and women serving in the armed forces. With a son in the military, Palin and her family will have to grit their teeth along with other military families, as their loved-ones carry out the orders associated with those difficult decisions.
- At 44, Palin would offer a refreshing balance to the McCain ticket and nullify any advantage Obama would have with his youth. Plus, if Obama decides to bring in Hillary Clinton as his running-mate, Palin would effectively neutralize the female factor. Furthermore, Palin has a likeable style and toughness that neither Hillary nor Obama can match.
- Finally, Palin has earned a staggering 90-percent approval rating from her constituents, not the easiest people to please, I would imagine. Her committment to her principles and her willingness to follow through on promises makes her the toast of Alaska and, for now, the darling of the GOP.

Napalm in the Morning: Who Should McCain Pick for VP?
I've been thinking long and hard about who would make the best candidate, right here, right now, given the current state of the campaign and in response to the Biden selection, and I've got to tell you folks, the big top might just explode over this one.
So, without further ado, my recommendation, for the next Vice-President of the United States of America is:

Rice began her political career in 1986 serving as a Special Assistant to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, giving her almost 23 years of political experience, enough to take the "Joe Biden is the authority on politics argument off the table."
Further, she'd take the teeth out of the "Attack Dog of the Ticket" Biden, as she is an excellent orator who has taken on the leaders of many countries who have no respect for the United States and wish it's immediate demise.
It would be a great pick to swoon women voters, who feel alienated by the Obama snub on Hillary.
And lastly folks, it would take the incendiary race card off the table. For far too long, the opponents have allowed the Obama camp to drop it over. It's become the popular opinion of the left that the only way Obama can lose if it is because of his race, which to me is a huge step backwards and a slap in the face to the works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights activists. Rice herself had to overcome the "Jim Crow" south as a youth in Birmingham.
See:

Obama: God, guns are only refuge of bitter Pennsylvanians
Folks, this campaign isn't about race, it's about selected the best candidate to lead our country in difficult times. It wasn't our choice to be attacked on 9/11, it wasn't our wishes for the middle east to tighten the screws down on oil, and it damn sure isn't our hopes and dreams to confront a "nuked-up" Iran or a reverted Russian government; but it is the era that we live in, and we must, to protect the sovereignty of this great country, stand up and do so. To use these issues as tools to pick away at and blame the right is damn near criminal.
Rice's leadership, background and experience would make for an excellent ticket, and because of her qualities, she takes away everything the Obama camp has been running with. All they would be left with is the nebulous ideas of "Hope and Change."

The Inagural Napalm in the Morning: BREAKING NEWS: Obama Selects VP

In an effort to better serve the ever growing readership of this blog, I've decided to launch a dedicated morning update: Napalm in the Morning. Be on the lookout for it daily, providing you with the current, latest and greatest to get your day off on the right foot (or hand depending on how sober you are when you wake up and read this in the morning.)
So, in grand style, let me be the first to announce, I have come upon credible, inside evidence that Senator and Presidential Barrack Hussein Obama has made his selection for Vice Presidential nominee for 2008.

Barrack Obama hopes to make a Clean Sweep, adding Billy Mays to the ticket, which has his supporters viewing the move as an awesome auger, in a move that is sure to anger Clinton supporters. After all, this wouldn't be the first time Mays stepped up to the plate to hype an overpriced, cheap product.
"Billy Mays has made a living off of cleaning up other peoples messes. Because of this, I felt it was time, in the interest of hope and change, that a real expert be brought in to do so with America." stated Obama, possibly referencing the fact that Mays has more experience in politics than he.
"He's solved the experience issue and has brought in an all around likable guy that is sure to bring everyone together in hope and change" stated an Obama spokesman. "Hillary has Bill, Mays has Bam Wow. There's no comparing the two" stated Lorena Sanchez, a hotel maid from Waco, TX.
There is no word yet on wether or not Mays will have his own whip team at the convention, however speculation is growing that for three easy payments of $19.95, John Edwards staffers may be able to fill the role.
You heard it here first!
